This picture, folks, is NOT an airport wall poster..it is the real thing!

Hunting for water buffalo in my Sunday church clothes...very fun! (we didn't find any, but found their evidence on the trail we were standing on, if you know what i mean.

We were at the Nairobi Chapel (church of 3,000+) by 10:45a.m.; just in time for some of the most beautiful African worship music I have ever heard

Monday morning I gave a 20 minute devotion to the staff here at World Relief, based on Matt. 14:21--faith to get out of the boat! Later Monday I was in a 3 hour meeting with Pastor Oscar, JP, and Pastor John Gichinga strategizing on next steps for the churches, of which he has stepped up as the leader from within the churches of Nairobi. We later met for 2 hours with the steering committe of the center of coordination and developed a plan to transition that to World Concern (not WR) as they have the desire and resources to do this longer term.
I am loving every minute of this, and feel God is using me in very strategic ways and even in relationship building among some of the players in all of this.
Today, Tuesday, it is now 7:42PM here and we are still at the office. We have spent most of the day organizing our efforts for writting a proposal for USAID grant to be given to organizations to implement conflict mitigation and reconciliation programs;I'm taking a lead in this effort to organize the proposal with the staff's excellent input and writing of the technical elements. The Grant is for $35M to be broken into separate grants of $100k to $600k portions. Please pray for WR to be granted the money to do what God has called them to do; this is YOUR tax money, by the way...pray hard! These are wonderful, hard working people who want to do everything possible to help their people.
More later!

Dad these pictures are amazing! Love the one of the lion cub, so cute! You should make a book for the kids of the pictures you take, that would be really neat.
I'm glad you're settling in so nicely over there, you DO have to come home at some point though, so don't get too comfy! (JK)
I love you Dad!!
