Nat'l Alliance of Church (NAC) 2nd Monthly Update Meeting

I'm posting this Thursday evening at 5:30 PM 2-21-08.

Sammy came home from the hospital this morning around 11AM. He is doing well under the circumstances. Thanks for your prayers!

Jean Paul, after spending the night at the hospital, showered, shaved, and put on a suit, and got to the office just in time for us to prepare a quick power point presentation, and head for the NAC's monthly update meeting. I had already prepared a visual story from the pictues I have taken over the last 16 days for him to share, just in case he didn't have time for the power point to be done.

The meeting was at Parkland Baptist Church. There were over 100 pastors, NGO leaders, volunteers, etc. Jean Paul walked in, opened the meeting, did a power point update, and introduced various speakers, and closed with the picture slide show. No one would know he had no sleep last night...he is an amazing man, great leader, and wonderful father/husband.

Here are some shots I took at the meeting.
The attendees:

Volunteers from the center were recognized.

These two ladies (on the left in each picture, interpreters on the right in each picture)were in IDP camps; can't begin to tell their stories, but they were there to thank the NAC and the NGOs for saving them.

I got my tickets changed to leave on Mar 6 instead of Mar 3; will be arriving at LAX on Friday, Mar 7. (Not sure I've stated here that the extension of time is so I can join JP on his already planned trip to Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi, leaving on the 28th)

Later!
